Happy Cinco De Mayo everyone!!!

I hope you all are just as excited about the weekend as I am because once again, we’re almost there! I’m personally pumped about today. I’m not really sure what my infatuation with this holiday is or when it began, but cinco de mayo is one of my favorite holidays. I have no Mexican heritage and have no historical reason to celebrate this particular battle victory, but still, I celebrate every year with a pitcher of tart and tangy margaritas and a healthy plate of ACP or some yummy tacos. Maybe I love it because it’s a free pass to get together with some gal pals and just hang out on a patio somewhere- who knows? Let’s just say you aren’t into a holiday all about drinking beer & margaritas and stuffing your face with Mexican food, (I would just like to know who you people are!!) there are plenty of other things to celebrate this weekend.

If you find yourself in Crown Town you may notice everyone in their best golf attire and sporting a lawn chair as an accessory. You guessed it, Speith, Phil, Rory, and my personal fave Harold Varner (Gastonia native and ECU Alum) are all in town for the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow. It’s kind of a big deal and the place to see and be seen this weekend. Lucky for me I’ll have a little hand in all these social activities and I’m kicking off my weekend on the course with this white ensemble. I love how crisp and clean it looks and gives that classic country club look. This sweater is the perfect weight for the milder rainy temps we’ve had lately and the shorts are the cutest! I paired it with my go-to black wedges and some fun earrings to bring out my colorful obsession with the fifth of May.
