Happy New Year guys! I hope you all have had the most amazing holiday season and got to spend time with those that mean the most to you like I did. I can’t believe it’s already 2018! I couldn’t think of a better way to end / kick off the year than with a fresh post featuring the velvet blazer I basically lived in for the past month.

Since the Holidays are over, I’m looking straight ahead to spring and warmer temps. Unfortunately for me, it’s 10 degrees in NC this AM so I’m sticking with layers and my fave winter velvet. I picked up this velvet blazer a few weeks before Christmas and really loved styling it different ways. I had over dresses, with jeans and now I’m super excited to style it for a winter date night or even #Galentines day. It will be here before we all know it! I know all black may seem a little lackluster but with the mixing of textures and pops of warm color, this ensemble is super chic and ready for a night out. Another thing I was / am completely obsessed with: the new Laura Mercier Velour Extreme Matte lip. HELLOOOO Fabulous. It comes in the most drool worthy shades and stays on forever.
