We’re only a few weeks away from the official start of S P R I N G and I cannot wait! I’ve gotten the itch for all the warm weather things so, despite the temps still hanging in the 30s some mornings, I’m transitioning my wardrobe and to some of my fave pieces, like this lavender jumpsuit for the warmer days ahead.
Look One.
Target Jumpsuit (under $40) & Sandals – sold out in purple but found dupes here & here. Senreve Convertible Bag. JCrew Cashmere Sweater. Lele Sadoughi Headband.
When I first saw this lavender jumpsuit, I really wasn’t sure how I felt about it. I was drawn to it for the color and the price but thought for sure it wouldn’t look good on me. This is exactly why I always make myself try things on. Had I not brought this lavender jumpsuit home and gave it a shot, I would have missed out on a truly great transitional piece. Because we are still having some pretty chilly mornings here in CLT, I chose to layer up for the first look and throw in even more color. The jumpsuit fits tts but has a more loose fit than most jumpsuits. I love this because it makes it the perfect piece for layering or just super comfortable when wearing alone.
For look one, I layered in my hot pink cashmere sweater, popped an equally bright headband on top and kept in pretty tonal everywhere else. My sandals and my bag have been on major repeat and were the perfect shades of purple to finish off this look. Because there was a lot going on color-wise, I didn’t want to add anything too crazy to the waist so I kept the belt that comes with the jumpsuit, but you can easily swap it for something a little chicer. See the next look for more on that!
Look Two.
Target Jumpsuit (under $40). Sugarfix x BaubleBar Pearl Hoops. Senreve Convertible Bag. Halogen Silver Platform Oxfords – old but similar here & here. JCrew Belt.
For look two I kept the same lavender jumpsuit and convertible bag and swapped out everything else. I took the sweater off and buttoned up the jumpsuit, threw on my go-to pearl hoop earrings and added some sassy metallic oxford platform shoes. I also removed the fabric belt that came with the jumpsuit and threw on this adorable metallic skinny belt. With the lack of color, I really wanted the belt to break up the look and define the waist – the last thing you want is to feel frumpy or lose your figure in a looser fitting garment. Y’all know I am usually a gold girl through and through, but I really love how the lavender and silver work together for a more softened look.
