I’ve been dying to share some of my favorite rooms with y’all and I am most excited for today’s post because it is my favorite room in the house right now. Serena & Lily Bedding

Serena & Lily has long been one of my favorite home brands. They totally get me and my love of all things coastal, crisp and rattan with tons of blue and white. I love blue and white so much but had to resist the urge to put it in every room. Luckily, Serena & Lily offers their amazing bedding in a variety of beautiful soft hues that are sure to work with any palette. I already had the drapes for this room so I planned my palette around them. Much to my surprise, the pink sand Beach Club Border Duvet was the best color option for our guest room. I was pretty excited because I’ve been wanting to do a pink room for so long but couldn’t make it work before now.

Our guest rooms need to accommodate men and women and the men in our family are not super friendly to any shade of pink. Luckily, the pink sand is so soft and is surrounded by neutrals that it isn’t overpowering. The oxford stripe sheets were way too gorgeous to pass up so I chose the pink sand stripe to coordinate with the bedding and add just a bit more warmth to the room.

There was a lot of color going on with the green walls and drapes and the pink bedding so I tried to keep everything else neutral by adding these fabulous Santa Cruz pillows to the bed for decor and the medium seagrass basket with alpaca throw by the mirror. I don’t know about y’all but I love having lots of blankets available to snuggle up with and I love having them easily accessible in a basket vs a closet. I know when I’m a guest somewhere else, I don’t feel comfortable looking in my host’s closets to find extra blankets. I always want my guests to have what they need without feeling like they have to hunt for it so throwing a few in a pretty basket adds texture to a room and is functional.

I finished off the room by bringing up a few fresh cookies, a delicious candle and some bath essentials on a tray for a full-on B&B feel then added a few books for late-night browsing or reading. I honestly cannot wait for my in-laws to experience this room and hope they love staying in it as much as I do.

Bath

When I tell you guys these towels are the softest I’ve ever felt, I’m 100% not kidding. I’m really thinking about stealing them for our bathroom when we aren’t hosting guests because they are so incredible. A long time ago I heard someone say that guest everything should be white (kinda like a hotel). This has stuck with me and I’ve always had white everything for guests…until we moved. Something about a clean slate and a colorful vanity (can we talk about this green?!) makes me want to add in some touches of color but still have the overall feel of the clean white. It’s like Serena and Lily read my mind because this banded border bath collection is perfection. The navy trim around the edges gives the bathroom just the pop of color I wanted to tie everything together. It’s the spa bathroom experience I wanted for my guests and all that’s left to do is stock it with a few shower essentials and we’re ready!
