Happy Monday babes. Can y’all believe there are only 9 days til Christmas?! I am, as always, shocked at how quickly it comes around each year. As shocked as I am, I’m also really excited about sharing today’s post featuring the second annual cookie exchange.

One of my favorite things about the Christmas season is all the extra baking. My mom and I always do a huge baking day each year so we have ample treats to make up into gifts for our friends, neighbors, and co-workers. My family also really loves having pick-up treats around so I usually bake 1-2 things each weekend. This past weekend, I was extra excited about my baking because I made the most incredible Lemon White Chocolate Chip cookies for the annual cookie exchange I do with my blogging girlfriends. This year, 10 of us have gotten together to share our favorite cookie recipes. If you aren’t familiar with how it works, no worries, it’s pretty simple. Each blogger has shared their cookie recipe in a post; just like this one. At the end, there is a brief blurb about the next blogger and the cookie she is sharing. I was so torn on what to make for this year’s cookie exchange. Cookies are one of my favorite treats and there are so many great flavors out there it was hard to narrow down one. Ultimately, I let my family help me choose. I know lemon isn’t the most festive or seasonal flavor right now, but we absolutely love lemon everything. As long as we can find good lemons, we will have lemon pound cake, lemon pie, and lemon cookies year-round. I found this recipe on pinterest and hope you guys like it as much as we do. It is the perfect blend of sweet and tart. I’m no foodie, but the smoothness of the white chocolate and the citrus of the lemon really do pair so beautifully for a refreshing treat.
