Lately I’ve been crushing on everything to do with a good ruffle wrap dress. It is the perfect Spring staple – I swear by it. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but it is such a flattering shape. I just cannot get enough of them. With so many color, pattern and sleeve length options, what’s not to love?! I am even obsessing over the quality of the linen. I typically have a hard no policy on all things linen. It’s sad really, because I love how crisp and fresh it looks but I am way too active and sit too much to keep it looking that way. This dress is the exception. It has a heavier weight to it so it doesn’t wrinkle nearly as quickly or as badly as some of the other linen pieces I allowed myself to purchase in moments of weakness.
Other than blog events and shoots, I don’t have too many reasons to get dressed up so I take full advantage of every one I get. Our date nights aren’t red carpet events or anything, but a good reason to throw on a ruffle dress and some heels for a few hours. This particular ruffle wrap dress is more loose-fitting than a few others I’ve tried recently but it’s super friendly for those weekend food babies I’m so bad about getting when we eat out so I threw on my go-to Gucci belt to give it a little waist definition. I was really hesitant about the purchase but I swear it’s one of the best I’ve made. If you’re still on the fence, I’ve linked a good dupe version for you below. If you’ve been following and reading for a while you may already know this, but I always try to include dupes and similar items for my looks so you guys have options. To finish off the look I wanted to keep it neutral so the red really popped. My go-to lace up sandals, bamboo bag (another dupe linked below) and my absolute fave gold Lisi Lerch earrings gave it all the feels I wanted. Now that the outfit planning is settled, it’s time for the hard part – where to go out to eat this weekend!? It’s the hardest part of our date nights since no one ever wants to make a decision. Hope you guys have better luck than us and have the best weekend! xo
