One thing pretty high on my bucket list is attending the Kentucky Derby. I’m not really into horses, but I can totally get down with anything that requires getting dressed up and wearing an extra large hat. Since I didn’t get to wear this pleated jumpsuit to the derby for the world to see, I’m styling it for Mother’s Day.

I’m so excited to celebrate my first Mother’s Day. It’s really strange since I’ve only ever been on the giving end of the holiday. My mom’s birthday is also on or around Mother’s Day most years so it is 100% about her. This year, we have so much going on in one day: Mother’s Day, her birthday and Wally’s dedication at our church. With so many activities in one day, I have been stressing about what to wear but am thinking I’ll just forego the hat and rock this pleated jumpsuit ensemble.

I’ve had my eye on this pleated jumpsuit for a while now and am totally smitten with it. I know I say this a lot, but this really is one of my absolute favorite pieces. The pleated jumpsuit and the blouse come in several colors so you can choose a color or combo that suits you. The green is going fast but I found this exact dupe for a third of the cost.  I was dying to carry this macrame bag from Cult Gaia so I opted for all purple accessories and completed the look with my go-to target sandals.

I was worried about the purple and green combo at first because it honestly reminds me of the joker, but this look is just what I need to get over that. From now on, I’ll be loving and living in this color combo full of pleats, bows and fringe. I may decide this look is too much for church on Sunday, but for now, I’m living my best mom life in it. XO
