If I’m being completely honest, I really thought we would be back to normal by now. I had come to terms with a weird Easter, but thought, “surely life will be back to normal by Mother’s Day” – Wrong! I planned this beautiful pink table for Mother’s Day because it is a woman’s holiday. It’s a time to celebrate our hard work as moms, caretakers, and the other millions of hats we’ve been wearing. It’s a day where I usually go all out for the table because I can; I don’t have to worry about offending the men because it’s too girly or prissy with flower plates and pink everything. In short: IT’S SO MUCH FUN! This was the perfect pink table for Mother’s Day, until it never happened again.

Normally, what I shoot for a holiday is what happens in real life – remember Thanksgiving? Since it’s just going to be my little fam celebrating this year, I decided to keep it low key. Instead of executing the pink table for Mother’s Day, I’ll be putting my energy into making my fave french toast casserole for breakfast. It is my all-time fave breakfast dish (that’s really a treat) and I’ve been craving it lately so I decided to treat myself with that instead of setting the table again. Just because I have shifted gears due to #coronavirus, doesn’t mean this beauty shouldn’t be shared and serve as an inspiration to you for your Mother’s Day, graduation, baby shower celebrations or anything else you would like to use it for. As always, I had so much fun creating this table and hope it is helpful or inspiring to you. I’m definitely going to be using it sometime this year…if we’re ever allowed to gather again.

No matter how you celebrate, I hope all of you mamas, expecting mamas, hurting mamas, wanna be mamas, grand mamas and everything in between feel loved, appreciated and special this weekend. You are strong, special and fab!
