Is there anything more fabulous than a pink sequin skirt?! If you can’t tell, I am totally obsessed and cannot stop gushing over today’s look. It is so festive yet so chic. I am normally a person who is completely uncomfortable in daytime sequins. I love the idea and wish I did it more, but I always feel a little silly walking around looking like the NYE crystal ball at 12:00pm on a Tuesday. This is honestly the first time I have felt comfortable in daytime sequins since the trend emerged and I’m sure it is because I loved this pink sequin skirt so much I couldn’t be bothered to notice if anyone was judging me or not.
I had several ideas on how to style this skirt but finally settled on the one I think most people would feel comfortable pulling off themselves. I’m not abandoning my personal style, but since it’s a date night look I try to tone it down a few notches to make the husband feel more comfortable. Let’s be honest, Wes is a great sport and is so supporting of my “extra” style, but even he has it limits with what he can handle on date night. Y’all know I typically gravitate to a heavy dose of color and “extra” but know some women and all men do not. That being said, pink on pink always works and because the skirt is such a punchy hue, I kept it simple and casual with gold heels, a jean jacket and a sleek clutch.
