Dressing for rain is always such a { b u m m e r } if you ask me. It’s not practical to be fashionable and anything past that is blah; at least that’s how I feel. Every time I try to get ready to leave the house on a warm, spring, rainy day, I find myself perplexed when it comes to what to wear. Until now, I haven’t had this perfectly pink rain attire. I would stand in my closet for what seemed like forever and struggle between looking chic, staying dry, and cool. Rainy spring days here in the Carolinas often come with high humidity and high levels of discomfort if you don’t choose just the right look.
J.Crew jacket, sweater, scarf & jeans // Sam Edelman flats // beck bag (c/o) // MAC Cosmetics lip glass
Luckily for me, I found the most perfect pink rain attire (a jacket that is available in about 12 colors) that is effortlessly chic and perfect for the crazy weather we have here in Charlotte. Because our Spring season is also volatile and likely to turn frigid without any notice, I styled this fab rain jacket over my fave cashmere sweater, high rise skinny jeans, and go-to flats.
I know flats aren’t super practical for rainy days, but unless it’s a total monsoon out, I opt for easy footwear because rain boots make me so hot I can’t stand it
I blame postpartum hormones and all that body changing because of a baby stuff. Anyways, do you have any go-to closet staples you wear for rainy days? Do you struggle with what to wear when the weather feels like 3 different seasons in one? I hope today’s pink rain attire look helped you in a stumped moment and that you stay cool or warm and dry out there!
