Happy hump day friends!!! How is your week going so far? It’s been pretty cloudy and cool here in Charlotte so while I’m itching for all things outdoorsy, this weather has me wanting netflix and the couch (as if I haven’t spent enough time on both lately already). But it’s Wednesday and we wear pink so I’m sharing my all time fave blazer!
I went on a major blazer kick sometime in early college when I first discovered J.Crew and was actually working there. We had to wear a third piece if we wore jeans and I’m not particularly a preppy cardigan kinda girl so a blazer was my pick. I also just really thought they looked good and in true J.Crew fashion, they were always available in great colors and patterns (see my green blazer in this post from last year). I guess I was a little ahead of the curve, because I desperately wanted a hot pink one and no one had it. I searched for months to find the perfect pink blazer. Finally, after countless online searches, I found the gem that is ZARA and my life hasn’t been the same since. And while J.Crew has done several pink blazers, this beauty has been at the front of my jacket lineup going on 8 years now.
For obvious reasons, this exact one is unavailable, but Zara has two new hot pink blazers out right now that I’ve linked for you below along with 3 others that I love. Honestly, can a girl ever have too much pink?! I think not! Just like you can never have too many poms for summer! This was a DIY project I really wanted to do last year but never got around to and the pom shoes I made were more important. I picked up this simple “vacation” canvas clutch from Target and a massive bag of assorted poms from Hobby Lobby and just started gluing. It was really that simple y’all. I was going to do a full how to post on it, but wouldn’t have anything else to say.
I wasn’t super attached to the wording on it since I bought it with the intent to cover it in poms, but once I got started I decided to have it be a two-fer of sorts. The opposite side was blank so I covered it and left the quote open so no matter how I hold it, something cute is showing. It turned out great and I strongly encourage any daring pom-loving crafter to give it a shot! Then let me know how it goes!! Hope you guys have an awesome day!
XOXO

LOVE the blazer with a tee. I’d been looking for a neutral one…but maybe I should go for major color pop instead!
