It’s here!!!! The biggest and most anticipated sale of the year is finally here and I’m so excited. I don’t know if it’s the build-up, fresh fashion or the rush to get your favorite Nordstrom sale picks before they sell out that makes this sale so fun, but I love it. The sale is officially open to all cardholders (in-store and online) today and I’m sure it will be a fun and crazy day of shopping for all. I wanted to share some initial thoughts and picks with you guys in this post before I head to the store tonight for a mega try-on session and night of shopping.

My initial thoughts on the sale are these: 1) The catalog and the outfits are so much better than last year. Every time I turned the page I saw more color and more beautiful items than last year. To me, last year was really plain and for me, it was hard to find a lot of things I truly loved or got excited about. 2) I am pretty underwhelmed at the shoe department. I have to say this is true for me every year. Unless you need those basic beige booties or a new pair of Tory Burch sandals, it’s pretty basic. 3) For some items, there is not enough inventory. I was able to shop early online yesterday and the jeans I liked were already completely sold out (only size 23 available) and the hat I had in my cart sold before I could get the pin number for my card entered. I was pretty bummed about that, but I know Nordstrom does re-stocks before the sale goes public so I’m keeping my eye out. Overall, I’m really excited about the selection and putting together some transitional/early Fall outfits for you all.

Earlier this week I posted a poll on Instagram asking what y’all wanted to see from this year’s Nordstrom Sale. You guys are so fab for sending your feedback and I really appreciate it as it helps me give you more of what you want to see. For the most part, you guys are like me; you like a little of everything. Since the majority of you voted yes to all the categories with 100% of you saying yes to dresses, I’m going to include a round-up of my Nordstrom Sale Picks here and in a few other posts over the next week.
