It’s safe to say that the annual Nordstrom sale is the sale of the year. The first glimpse of brand new Fall styles and trends at significantly reduced prices is enough to send any fashion girl into orbit, much less the blogging community. Hold your fedora and wide brimmed hats ladies because this sale is just getting started. I know it can be completely overwhelming to have so many new items to sort through and it’s even more frustrating when you fall in love with the same sweater on 100 bloggers only to find it has sold out. Under $100

I approached the sale with less anxiety knowing that (at least in the South) we are still months away from anything that will feel like Fall or Winter and that this is only the beginning of Fall fashion. While there are some great deals to be had right now I focused mostly on styles I can wear right now(seasonal and bump friendly of course) and in those transitional months.

Investment Pieces $100 & Up

In my preview post about the Nordstrom sale, I talked about looking for those investment pieces. I did that too! While it may be weeks and months before you have to break out the coats, it’s good to get the savings while you can. I found a trench coat, a teddy coat and a great wrap coat in the perfect shade of lavender that I know are going to be staples in the season to come.

Bump Friendly & Maternity

With the addition of baby Reese this year, shopping for bottoms and jeans was pretty much out of the question so I took to Nordstrom’s website and pulled several great maternity styles that will get me through the last 16 weeks of pregnancy. Right now, dresses are saving my life, but when the temps turn cooler, the over the bump leggings, jeans and workout pants will really come in handy. I pulled some wear now styles here too. I have a few baby showers coming up and really loved the dress selection. The off the shoulder one is my absolute fave!
