Get your coffee lovelies and bundle up in your cozy sweater for another cool week in Carolina. It was really cold this weekend but for some reason I didn’t mind it. You all probably know by now that I’m a total summer bird, but I’ve really been embracing the cooler temps this year.

Probably because we’ve only managed to experience one cold day a week so far, but I love the comfort of a good cozy sweater (the chunkier the better!). I also love the idea of cold weather for Christmas. Christmas has always been cold or snowy and I was having a hard time wrapping my head around the possibility of warmer Christmas.

Enough about the weather, you can go to the weather channel for that! Today’s post is all about the ease. This weekend, my mom told us all that we were going to take our family Christmas photo after church in McAdenville (aka Christmastown USA- I’m serious, google it!). I had thought all weekend about what I wanted to wear for it. It had to be something warm, obviously stylish and cute, mildly festive (after all it is for Christmas), and good for church. Well Sunday morning rolled around and I still hadn’t settled on the right outfit. I stressed out so much I made us late for church so I settled for something I knew I could live with. Much to my surprise, mama D got sick this weekend and was still under the weather yesterday so the pic got cancelled and the fam decided to “move in a different direction”. I was so relieved since I wasn’t totally loving the look I landed on. Later on I got to thinking how much I love the easy outfits on days when you just don’t know or cannot possibly make up your mind. It’s good to have those “go-to” formulas in your back pocket to help reduce stress in those moments and today’s post is mine: Cozy sweater  & coated moto skinnies. Find a few sweaters in some funky prints / patterns (solids can be boring) and pair them with some coated or leather pants. These coated moto skinnies are my faves because the detail of the texture and zippers paired with the sheen of the fabric elevates the look more than a standard pair of back denim. Pick your fave heels and voila! You can still be on time to wherever you are going.
