Denim Star Jacket - Reese's Hardwear - Casual Every Day Outfit

Hey Y’all! I don’t know about you, but this is the first day since the holidays have been over that I feel like I’m back to normal. Anybody else need a vacation from their vacay!? Today is also the first day I haven’t had to leave the house in 500 layers of winter attire. #bombcyclone was no joke and even though Charlotte didn’t get snow, we suffered in the bitter cold like everyone else. Including me… on the day we shot these pics. I’m excited for the break in temps (never thought 32 deg would feel warm) so I can wear this killer pull on denim star jacket.

I fell in love with this denim star jacket the second I saw it. It’s a super fun street-style type item but it’s also super functional. I styled today’s look with the inspiration of the ever popular Canadian tuxedo by pairing it with a darker flare denim. It has a drawstring waist so it’s easy to adjust the fit. I honestly love throwing this on when I have to run a quick errand and since it’s denim & cotton, it’s pretty warm and good for layering the same way you might a standard button front denim jacket.

I hope you guys enjoyed last week’s trend link up. This week, it’s all about the beanie and while I’m really loving my denim star jacket right now, I live in hats and beanies all winter long! This black pom beanie is one of my faves (see it styled here & red one here ) since it goes with everything – duh.
