I know I’ve already posted one Valentine’s Day tablescape, but when I spotted these fun & super affordable melamine heart plates & pink placemats, I couldn’t resist pulling together a casual Valentine’s Day brunch option for you guys. You probably know by now that when it comes to entertaining I only have one mode, full-on extra!
Pink placemats | Melamine heart plates | Bamboo flatware | Bow napkin rings | Vintage white napkins from family – use these instead | Estelle Colored Glass stemware (c / o) | Amanda Lindroth wrapped island glasses | Lucy Grymes paper vase wraps
Casual Valentine’s Day Brunch
When it comes to doing fun holiday things with my boys, I try to keep things pretty casual. I’m already asking A LOT of them to eat off pink heart plates for a Valentine’s Day breakfast, I don’t want to push them over the edge by asking them to sit down at the table for a formal breakfast on vintage china. I’m just keeping it realistic for y’all. I 100% use every single thing I post but I also know I have a toddler and a newborn on the way and that I could easily lose one of my vintage plates.

I’ve been dying to share more of our home as it comes together. Before I say any more, yes! we have been here for almost 2 years and I’m still getting it together. I have a few more things I’d like to add to our breakfast/ dining space but really love our main kitchen space and how beautiful it looks when it’s clean and clutter free. Wally really loves the tall chairs so we eat breakfast and dinner here.
I almost always have a floral arrangement of some kind on the island or the table. Going back to toddler-friendly things, the paper vase wraps are ahhhhhmazing! I was really nervous about how they would look when I picked them up at a local home store but am completely obsessed! Everyone has complimented them and been completely shocked that they are made of paper. You can literally wrap them around anything and they look like expensive vases. I love the pink for special occasions but have my eye on the blue set that matches the rest of my decor for everyday use.
There’s not much left to say about this fun and casual Valentine’s Day brunch spread. It’s super simple for me but I’ve enjoyed an easier execution this time around. I’m often guilty of getting caught up in the details and focusing more on tasks than the time with guests. Sticking to a casual Valentine’s Day brunch is going to keep me grounded so I have more time to love on my boys and put away some yummy pancakes!
cheers!
