about taylor

Taylor was born and raised just outside of Charlotte, NC. She attended Appalachian State University and Queens University of Charlotte where she earned her degree in Sports Communication. Taylor has always been equally passionate about sports and fashion.  After college she worked at Belk for five years where she held positions in trend forecasting and cosmetic buying. In 2013 she started her first blog, The Fancier Fan as a way to combine both of her passions and to style her jewelry line. In 2015, The Fancier Fan was updated to Reese’s Hardwear to encompass a wider audience and array of content.

Taylor met her husband, Wes in 2012 while working for the Gastonia Grizzlies; a college Summer baseball team. They dated for three years and married in June 2014. Taylor and Wes are currently living in the Charlotte area and love attending sporting events, good hamburgers and trips to the beach.

In addition to Reese’s Hardwear, Taylor is a regular contributor to Scoop Charlotte and is involved with several of the fashion weeks held in the Carolinas. You can often find her shopping local boutiques or her favorite bead store. Although it is no longer her primary focus, Taylor still enjoys making extravagant jewelry. When she isn’t writing and blogging, she enjoys reading, exercising and a good bottle of wine.
