Balloon Sleeve Top - Reese's Hardwear-Everyday Outfits Weekend Edition

Happy Saturday friends! It’s officially the weekend and I’m loving it. I’m kind of loving every day these days since I’m two weeks into my work leave. Since my foot is still bound up like a mummy, I’m opting for easy pieces and flowy styles and this balloon sleeve top has been on major repeat.

For the sake of being easy to deal with in my handicapped state, I’ve been wearing a lot of black. Actually, I’ve been wearing more black and neutrals as a whole (see here & here). Has anyone else felt a shift in style preferences lately? I know we continually evolve and change as we get older and I’m moving into a different state of life, but I usually don’t feel it while it’s happening. I just look back at pictures on this day from 1,2 and 10 years ago and see the changes (and thank the Lord there have been many shifts from some not so high points in my fashion choices)! For whatever reason, after my most recent birthday in September, I actually felt different. It’s super strange I know… Don’t get me wrong – I have no issues with getting older and I’ve never been someone who “had to be { enter obligatory accomplishment here } by XX age”. I am a person who loves new experiences and finally feels like I am “adulting”. Just like my life maturity, I think the turn of a new year has brought on style maturity. I’m a little saddened to see myself gravitate away from super bright, funky pieces but am really appreciating classic and versatile pieces like this balloon sleeve top. I swap out the accessories and the footwear to change the look instead of going for an all together new look. One thing I know I will never “grow out of” is my love for leopard. In my opinion it is the best fall neutral (who am I kidding I wear it year round) and best accessory option.

I’m hopping off for a weekend with the hubs and some online shopping. It’s officially hockey season in Charlotte so I’ll be trading in my balloon sleeve top and stocking up on warm sweaters to wear in the rink (even if it is still summer outside).
